The Annual Food Quality Award

Sponsored by DuPont Qualicon and presented by Food Quality magazine, the award honors the dedication and achievement of a North American Quality Assurance/Quality Control team that has made exceptional contributions to food safety and consumer satisfaction with a positive impact on business results.

R. Dale Morton, Director of Food Safety Programs, PepsiCo North America and Quaker Tropicana Gatorade will be this year’s keynote speaker. Dale will speak about evolving challenges in today’s food safety culture and how to maintain food safety controls.

The award will be presented on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the 9th Annual Food Quality Award Presentation and Reception, a gala industry event during the Food Safety Summit in Washington , D.C.

	FAQ's
	Who should enter? Any food processor, food service or food retailer. It is not for vendors, or consultants to the food industry.
	Where will the award be presented? At the prestigious Food Quality Award ceremony, sponsored by DuPont Qualicon at the Food Safety Summit in Washington DC, April 12-14, 2010. WINNERS MUST BE PRESENT.
	How do I enter? Fill out the short preliminary Food Quality Award Survey. Finalists will be selected and notified by October 14, 2009 and will be invited to submit a more comprehensive entry. A panel of judges will evaluate each of the finalist's entry. NOTE: Judging in complete for 2009.
	What additional information do you want in the comprehensive entry? You need to provide details that back up your answer to the preliminary questions. For example: Question 1. In the last 12 months, has your company's management made a financial investment in new technology that will improve the safety and/or quality of your products? In the preliminary questionnaire you answered, Yes or No. In the Comprehensive entry you need to detail your company's financial investment in new technology that will improve the safety and/or quality of your products. You need to follow this pattern for every question on the preliminary survey.
	How much additional information? Use your own judgment. Remember, you need to effectively communicate to the judges why your company should win the award.
	What do I get if my company is selected as the winner? You will receive a beautiful custom designed award to display in your company. We will write an article about you and your company in Food Quality magazine and join a growing list of companies that includes Fieldale Farms Further Processing, West Liberty Foods, Hormel, Tyson Foods, Sysco, Beef Products, Inc. Lastly, you will be honored at the prestigious Food Quality Award ceremony, sponsored by DuPont Qualicon at the Food Safety Summit.
